He shifted gears and went to Detroit with Teach For America where he served for two years. From there he went to Emory University in Atlanta for graduate school and instead met his wife Emily. They spent the last three years living in Florida where they practiced lots of yoga, enjoyed beach life, and learned to slow things down a bit.
They decided to move back to Emily’s home in the summer of 2019, and Justin realized this was the time to get that Crossfit Level 1 Certification he’d been interested in ten years earlier. Now he spends most of his time coaching at several CrossFit boxes (gyms) in the area. When he’s not coaching, Justin likes volunteering at the Pennypack Farm and Education Center, biking the the great trails of the area (lots more hills than Florida!), playing rugby, swinging kettlebells, and spending time with his ever-growing extended family as the crazy funcle (fun uncle).
