Doing CrossFit isn’t about going to the CrossFit Games, much like playing pickup basketball isn’t about going to the NBA.
For 99% of the people out there, CrossFit is about doing the most effective exercise program to be ready for LIFE. Playing with your kids or grandkids, bringing in groceries, putting your luggage in the overhead bin, hiking a mountain, and playing other sports – these are the reasons we do functional movements.
CrossFit can also be done for LIFE. Young children to teenagers to 30-somethings to octogenarians are all able to do CrossFit. Movements and weights are infinitely scalable to accommodate your specific abilities. Highly trained coaches will adjust things so the group is doing the same type of workout, but with individualized modifications.
