Wabi-sabi is Japanese term for being real, for finding beauty in imperfection. We are real people with real imperfections. We have real jobs and real families. We are not elite professional athletes who have all day to train. We are tight on time and need the most effective, efficient exercise program to be healthy for ourselves and for our families. By getting strong and doing compound, functional exercises led by a highly qualified coach, you won’t find a better way to get what you need.
Wabi-sabi encourages modesty – the kind that speaks through actions, not words. We do not showboat or talk a big game – our actions speak for themselves. And when they do, whether it’s a PR on a lift or getting a first double under, you better believe we celebrate that person! We are a community that is more concerned about each other’s success than our own.
Wabi-sabi embraces the unconventional. When you walk into our gym, you won’t find ellipticals and other typical machines like ones in large commercial gyms where no one knows your name. Instead, we use simple objects like barbells and pull-up bars to get the work done. It can be intimidating at first, but that’s why our highly trained coaches will help modify workouts based on your experience and ability. While our workouts may be unconventional, we are less concerned with unnatural machines and more concerned with what actually works in the real world.
